On my Paperwhite I only have my unread books. In Calibre I have ALL my books (read and unread). However most of my books are sideloaded using Calibre. I am getting an Oasis today and want to transfer the books I have on my current old Paperwhite to my new Oasis. I went into Calibre, followed these instructions from your readme: Open calibres Preferences dialog. It will import it and automatically use DeDRM to remove the DRM crap You should now be able to open the eBook. sdr file (I presume this file is generated after the book is opened, but I can't find much information on that). Using Calibre 5.21 I downloaded a Kindle book from my Library onto my local laptop by opening the Kindle app on my desktop. Cant seem to transfer Mobi to Kindle Fire. If I look in the Mac's Finder, I see that the books are properly placed in their respective folders, but there is no associated. I did a search for a nonsense word to check if anything was stuck in indexing the search results do not indicate that indexing is stuck. The other three transfers are nowhere to be seen. Over the past few years, eReader prices have dropped hugely and you can now buy the 7th. (Amazon has since launched the Kindle Oasis, which is also brilliant but even pricier still.) A refurbished Voyage sells for £139.99. However the book appears as a doc on all devices. In my testing, sending an epub results in bad formatting. About 10 minutes later, one of the other sideloaded books appeared as it should. The Kindle Voyage is now discontinued, but even without a price drop it’s still among the best e-readers you can buy. Now that Kindle will not allow transfer of mobi or azw3 via the app or email service, the only option is to send an epub through Amazon, or to sideload directly to the Kindle via Calibre. However, on the Voyage, I first could only see the original downloaded books (attempting to open them says Item Not Available). Im now unable to have the Kindle/Books app see any of the copied books in. I then put the SD Card into the new Kindle (which has had all Amazon stuffs removed, bar the Books App. I can see all 4 books in On Device view in Calibre. So, with Calibre not detecting my old or new Fire to copy books over from one to the other, I resorted to transferring the books from my internal storage to SD Card. In Calibre, I deleted the two downloaded books in On Device view, and transferred the books over in KFX. I also downloaded those two and processed them through Calibre. I have been using calibre for years to side load my books. The first two books I accidentally had delivered straight to the Kindle, which actually helps as information for the troubleshooting. I prefer to download them to my computer, get all the info the way I like it on Calibre, then transfer it to my Kindle Voyage (first version) directly. ![]()
